Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Stone Masons apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting various operational tasks across our site, ensuring smooth workflow and maintaining safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop practical skills within a dynamic working environment.
Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring safe handling
- General tidiness of the worksite by clearing debris and waste
- Mixing batches of various mortars
- Working with lime based mortars. Raking out and re-pointing and similar tasks dependant on skill level
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risk
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
- Report any hazards or issues to supervisors promptly
Requirements
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour over extended periods
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to manual work
- Willingness to undertake training as required for specific tasks or equipment use
- A positive attitude and reliability are essential qualities for success in this role

Pay: £12.21-£24.77 per hour
